What?
Current legislation imposes strict discharge limits on hydrocarbon discharges. When draining Sludge and hydrocarbons (derivatives of crude oil) from roads, parking lots, garages, gas stations, etc. ... it is mandatory to remove the hydrocarbons from the wastewater before discharge. An oil separator is recommended to ensure the disinfection of water and prevent any unexpected contamination. Oil and gasoline separators comply with strict European standards EN85.1 EN 858.2.
Coalescence filter
When discharging into the sewage system, in principle no coalescence filter is required. Nevertheless, our system always provides the separator with a built-in coalescence filter that removes even the finest particles.
When to use a bypass?
Depending on the nature of the surface to be treated (if parking lot, washing areas or unloading site...) and according to local regulations, it is accepted that part of the effluent does not go completely to the separator. In these cases, one installs a storm overflow (bypass), this makes, in case of a storm-when the separator's allowable flow is reached, that the rest of the effluent may be discharged directly. This system is primarily installed on outdoor parking lots.
The advantage of Pluvio bypass oil separators is the integrated design through which the bypass is connected to the tank. One manhole provides access to the separator and bypass. This patented device simplifies installation resulting in time and cost savings.
Options
Alarm system: this system will notify if the well has reached its maximum collection volume. When the maximum level is reached, it must be emptied.
Maintenance
Cleaning should be done at least once a year. After cleaning, refill with water to guarantee operation.
