Flat cisterns are also available, recommended in rocky terrain or if the well must be excavated by hand. The volume of soil to be excavated here is considerably less than with a normal rainwater tank. The tanks are of very high quality, thick-walled and extremely stable. A manhole of diam 55 cm ensures easy access. These tanks are automatically equipped with an extension shaft if the distance between the manhole and ground level needs to be bridged.
