What are oil separators & grease separators?
Any unwanted spill of crude oil and petroleum products or the presence of grease in household wastewater can have major environmental consequences.
The cost to treat the watercourse or unclog the sewer system runs much higher than installing an oil or grease separator.
KWS separator without BYPASS for tank pits and risk zones equipped with coaliscence filter, Class 1, discharge to open ditch.
All Oil Separators comply with EN858-1 and -858-2 standards and come standard with a coal concentration filter in accordance with Class I regulations.
The coalization filter is removable and cleanable.
Separators with integrated BYPASS for cost-efficient drainage of large areas.
All Oil Separators comply with EN858-1 and -858-2 standards and come standard with a coaliscence filter in accordance with Class I regulations.
The coalization filter is removable and cleanable. Thanks to the bypass, the separator can handle a high rain capacity without overflowing. This is permitted only in non-risk applications.
It can be used when there are large and relatively low-polluted surfaces where a lot of rainwater falls, such as parking lots.
These are prohibited for carwash, gas stations, oil unloading areas, rinse-off areas, etc..
Grease Separators
Grease separators separate water from biological fats & oils.
Disposal of fats and oils is prohibited everywhere. That means separation must occur before the wastewater reaches the sewer or public drain. Grease is separated from wastewater, solidifies and forms a floating layer in the unit. Only kitchen water is allowed to flow through the separator.
All Pluvio grease separators comply with EN-1825-1-2 standards.
The Pluvio alarm is specifically designed for monitoring KWS separators . Equipped with advanced sensor technology, the alarm device accurately detects when the maximum thickness of the hydrocarbon or grease layer in the separators has been reached.
